Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chairman of the StateAffairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People’sArmy, gave field guidance to the Kumsong Tractor Factory which successfullycarried out the task for production of new-type tractors, entrusted by the Party, inthe revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.He looked round the room for education in the revolutionary history and theroom dedicated to the history of the factory.Noting that President Kim Il Sung visited the factory 34 times and leader KimJong Il ten times, he said that, through the figures alone, one can well know aboutthe immortal guidance feats performed by the great leaders for the development ofthe Juche-based tractor industry.Seeing with deep emotion the photos of Kim Il Sung watching the Chollimatractor made by the workers of the factory on Nov. 14, 1958 and Kim JongIl giving important instructions for the factory’s development before the newly-made tractor Chollima-2000, he stressed it is thanks to their devoted efforts that thefactory could register brilliant successes in the struggle to realize thecomprehensive mechanization of agriculture over the past years.
The respected Supreme Leader examined new-type 80 h.p. tractors, Chollima-804, produced at the factory.Watching with a bright smile in his face hundreds of blue-pained tractorsstanding in rows, he said with high appreciation that it is very spectacular and thatthe factory made a great success. He personally rode on a tractor and drove it to learn in detail about itsperformance and technical specifications.Saying that the workers of the factory who set the great era of Chollima in aferment with the production of the first Chollima tractor are adding shine to thepresent era of Mallima with the production of new-type tractor Chollima-804, hestressed that the buzzing sound of the 80 h.p. tractor, a proud creation of the era ofMallima, represents the grand march of Socialist Korea.
Then he went round processing and assembling workshop, sheet metalprocessing workshop, casting workshop and other parts of the factory and set forthits tractor production assignment for next year as well as the task for itsmodernization.Another revolution should be made in positively propelling the development ofthe country’s vehicle industry through a project of upgrading the Kumsong TractorFactory, he said, showing benevolence for the renovation of the factory andpromising that he would dispatch a powerful building force of the people’s army.He had a photo session with the labor innovators of the factory.Accompanying him were Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the PoliticalBureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the State AffairsCommission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, O Su Yong, vice-chairmanof the C.C., WPK, and Jo Yong Won, vice department director of the C.C., WPK.Kim Jong Un Makes New Year Address for 2017.
